Caroline Farberger has received an invitation from Mr. Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Japan, to join the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council (GEAC) during Japan’s G7 presidency.
The invitation letter from the Prime Minister was delivered today at my office at Wellstreet by Mr. NOKE Masaki, Ambassador of Japan in Sweden.
During today’s meeting the Ambassador and Caroline had a fruitful discussion on the area of promoting gender equality and empowerment of women.
The Ambassador conveyed his wish that cooperation between Sweden and Japan will further develop when Sweden is assuming EU presidency and Japan G7 presidency.
Caroline conveyed her aspiration to contribute proactively to this year’s work in GEAC to provide good and actionable recommendations on gender equality to the G7 leaders, especially in equal access to investment capital for women.
